So sorry to hear that Jonathan Kelly has broken his shoulder – all that Berlin ice! Hope he gets well quickly and is back playing soon. Had a wonderful Strauss Concerto weekend with the Amicus Orchestra in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow. What a great bunch of people and wow, what a violin section! It was really good to be able to sit back and enjoy the slow movement with a true Straussian string sound. So energetically and sensitively conducted by Catherine Larsen-Maguire too.
